Religious Education Classes will start in September at St. Marcelline.
First Communion
English: Saturday, September 20th, 9am-11am.
Spanish: Sunday, September 21st, after the 10am Mass, 11am-12:45pm.

Confirmation
English and Spanish: Wednesday, September 17th, 6pm-8pm.

Special Needs
English: Saturday, September 20th, 10:30am-11:30am.

Primera Comunion
Ingles: Sabado 20 de septiembre, 9am-11am.
Español: Domingo 21 de septiembre, despues de la misa de 10am, 11am-12:45pm.

Confirmacion
Ingles y Espanol: Miercoles 17 de septiembre, 6pm-8pm.

Necesidades Especiales
Ingles: Sabado 20 de septiembre, 10:30am-11:30pm.

PROGRAMS
  • First Communion and Confirmation Programs duration: 2 years each. Registration is done yearly.
  • First Communion: 3rd grade - 12th grade.
  • Confirmation: 5th grade - 12th grade; prerequisite: First Communion.
  • Non-Sacramental Program:
Introduction to Catechesis for children in 1st and 2nd grade. (Not available in Spanish.)
  • Baptism for children ages 7 and older:
Grades 1-12. Children in need of baptism will be eligible to receive the sacrament at the end of their first year of religious education (classes on Saturday or Sunday). Parents must schedule the baptism through the parish office once the students have completed their classes and received a notification of the Religious Education office. The birth certificate and an additional fee will be required.
  • Special Needs Program:
English or Spanish. Copy of IEP is required. 2 Saturdays a month. Schedule is on a case-by-case basis.


CLASSES:
September-April
  • Saturday 9:00 am - 11:00 am (English): First Communion and the Non-Sacramental Program.
  • Sunday 11:00 am – 12:45 pm (Spanish): First Communion.
  • Wednesday 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm (English and Spanish): Confirmation I & II. (*Please note class time for 2025-2026.)

Classes are held at St. Marcelline Campus: 820 Springinsguth Rd., Schaumburg, IL 60193. 


REQUIREMENTS FOR ENROLLMENT
* Important: All students must be able to recite the basic prayers before starting classes.


ANNUAL TUITION
  • 1 child - $250 per year
  • 2 siblings - $350 per year
  • 3+ siblings - $450 per year

Confirmation II Fee:
Tuition plus a $50 fee per student in their second year of Confirmation.

PAYMENT
  • Please note, all tuition payments will be processed via Give Central.
  • $100 non-refundable administrative fee in case of cancellations or withdrawals.

  • Programa No Sacramental:
Introducción a la Catequesis para niños de 1º y 2º grado. (Solo disponible en Ingles.)
  • Bautismo para niños de 7 años en adelante: 
Grados 1-12. Los niños que necesiten el bautismo serán elegibles para recibir el sacramento al final de su primer año de educación religiosa (clases los sábados o domingos). Los padres deben programar el bautismo en la oficina parroquial una vez que los estudiantes hayan completado sus clases y hayan recibido una notificación de la oficina de Educación Religiosa. Se requerirá el acta de nacimiento y una cuota adicional.
  • Programa de Necesidades Especiales:
Ingles o español. Se requiere copia del IEP. Las sesiones son 2 sábados al mes. El horario varia.

  • Domingo 11:00 am – 12:45 pm (Español): Primera Comunión.
  • Miércoles 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm (inglés y español): Confirmación I y II. (* Favor de tomar en cuenta el horario de clases 2025-2026.)
